Razors Down!
Long, black and silky hair is every girl’s dream. hair that can be flopped around. Hair that is so magnificent, the pride of a woman. What happens when all that goes down in a very short time, not out of desire or will but about being the determinant of life or death. All the long years taken to grow and take care to maintain that hair that you adore so much going to waste.
This, I am so sure, is what goes through the head of many people once they are diagnosed with cancer. Having to adapt to a new way life with bald heads for a considerable length of time. You might take it to be a non issue because after all health is more important than any physical appearance. What would you do if that part of the body which you love so much is taken away from you? Not out of your own will but out of being a necessity. Would life be the same again? You might say that the hair will grow back again. What of those few months that your head will be bald?
This is the month of the year to support those fighting this battle and create awareness on cancer. Many cancer patients lose their hair as they go through chemotherapy treatment marking a great tumbler in their journey to recovery. Having to be impatiently patient as they wait for their hair to grow back. Facing the harsh wrath of society by being tagged as they who had cancer.
Participate by embracing your own hair. Skip that appointment to the barber and donate that cash to a cancer drive. Skip that waxing appointment and let the hair grow. Participate by growing a beard or cultivating that mustache.
Let us put down our razors and support our brothers and sisters fight this battle. If you are not ready to go hairy, support someone who is. Join the fun!
That’s so right
