Risky oral affairs

I will call it adult mouthing to put it mildly. Mouthing is a developmental stage in babies in which they put everything they can grasp into their mouths. In adults, however, it is a risky oral affair. In the recent past, a particular practice has gained momentum, drawing many to it’s apparent pleasure and has slowly been incorporated in the norms. Nevertheless, it is a contentious issue that will rarely be addressed over lunch or tea break but is thriving behind closed doors and under the cover of darkness. The practice of oral sex.

Oral sex is the stimulation of a partner’s genitals with the mouth, lips or tongue.
As contentious as this practice is, it has landed many in hospital seeking help for what I would call misplaced infections. Oral sex is not safe sex. Just like penetrative sex, contact of the vaginal fluids or semen (cum) with the eyes, mouth and throat can result to infections.
Oral sex can lead to sexually transmitted diseases such as herpes, gonorrhea and syphilis. While the risk of contracting STIs from oral sex is lower than for vaginal or anal sex, there is still risk of transmission. The risk increases if you have cuts, sores or ulcers on the mouth or on the genitals.

How to have safe oral sex

  1. Oral hygiene
Before going down on anyone or giving lip service, ensure that your mouth is clean. Some hygiene is highly appreciated. This will prevent the transfer the bacteria which can cause infection from the mouth to the genital area.
  2. Barrier methods
Barriers are items which prevent direct contact of the vaginal fluids or semen with the skin. They include male and female condoms and dental dams.
You must be wondering what are dental dams. This what they are; they are mainly used for dental procedures but I guess necessity is the mother of all inventions.
A dental dam can be used to prevent STIs in oral sex.

3. STD screening
The next time you visit your doctor, please request for an STD test especially if you have been sexually active. Some of the infections are asymptomatic(without signs) and only manifest later in their course of infection. Some like gonorrhea are asymptomatic in women but 90% to 95% of infected men show symptoms and one of them is painful peeing. Now, that is not interesting!

4. Faithfulness
The more the sexual partners, the higher the risk of getting STDs. My piece of advice, keep one partner or keep a good record of your trail.

Prevention is the best option. In your quest to find more pleasure, keep in mind that an STD might put you under pressure.

  1. I’ve never read of Chimps and Gorillas, our closest cousins, engage in oral sex. They deserve the honor of being called Homo sapiens. We have disgraced our species in the name of love. Regardless, I have no dispute against it. It’s nonetheless a paradox – Oral Sex. Just listen at how it sounds… Talk about insanity! 😂😂😂 But daktari should ever avoid the ethical and philosophical issues tied to such Subjects… Or should she😐?

    1. Daktari is doing fine. There’s nothing ethical about this. As long it’s a mutual agreement between two lovers, let them have their fun their way, and that’s why Daktari is here helping us dobit the right way.
